Swachh Devalayam – Cleansing Temples, Awakening Spirits
There are places where silence speaks, where time stands still, and where the divine once echoed through stone and soil. Ancient temples—forgotten, neglected, covered in dust and weeds—still wait patiently. Not for worship, but for someone to care.
At Daivoham Foundation, we asked ourselves:
If divinity resides in these sacred spaces, isn’t cleanliness our first offering?
Thus began our humble movement—Swachh Devalayam, a public campaign to restore the sanctity of ancient temples left in neglect, wrapped in wilderness, weighed down by dirt and disuse.
Temples Reborn, Communities Reawakened
Through this campaign, under the inspirational leadership of Shri Yugandhar garu, and in partnership with devoted villagers, we took a stand—not just with words, but with brooms, gloves, and prayers.
Together, we have:
• Cleared wild shrubs and overgrown thorns choking temple paths
• Removed garbage, waste, and animal debris from inner sanctums
• Repainted entranceways and restored basic structure wherever possible
• Reinstalled a sense of reverence and pride among the locals
What was once lost to time… now echoes again with chants, footsteps, and spirit.
This is not a cleaning campaign. It is a cultural revival.
A call to reconnect with our spiritual roots, by honouring the homes of our gods.
More Than Just Cleaning – A Movement of the People
This mission is not limited to a single temple, or a single village. Swachh Devalayam is a movement for all, calling upon villagers, youth groups, temple committees, and volunteers across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to step forward and serve.
We urge every soul with devotion to identify neglected temples in your villages, and inform us.
Our dedicated Call Centre is open—your one call can bring life back to a forgotten shrine.
Together with Daivoham Foundation and visionaries like Yugandhar garu,
let’s build a cleaner, holier Bharat—one temple at a time.
Join the Movement. Be the Change.
Clean temples. Clear minds. Collective awakening.
That is the dream we walk towards.
“Temples don’t just need flowers and rituals.
They need our hands, our effort, our care.”
We invite you all to participate in this sacred cause.
Let your village be inspired. Let your name be remembered.
Join us in reviving our dharma—with dignity, with devotion, with Daivoham.
